Fernando Agraz received the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science (2005) and the Ph.D. degree in Signal Theory and Communications (2012) from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). He is currently working as a Postdoc Researcher and he is the responsible of several software developments. Since 2004 he is involved in the Advanced Broadband Communications Centre (CCABA) of UPC. He has participated in various FP-6, FP-7 and H2020 European research projects such as COSIGN, LIGHTNESS, EULER, STRONGEST, DICONET, SLICENET. His expertise includes software engineering, communication protocols and systems administration. His research interests focus on all-optical networks routing, control and management, as well as their application to data centre networks, cloud computing and virtualization.

Albert Pagès Cruz received the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering (2010) and the Ph.D. degree in Optical Communications (2014) both from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher and he is also involved with the Advanced Broadband Communications Center (CCABA) of UPC. He has participated in various FP-7 and H2020 European research projects (COSIGN, LIGHTNESS, GEYSERS, STRONGEST, SLICENETetc.). His research interests include optimization and management issues in elastic optical networks as well as virtualization techniques in all-optical networks and data centers environments
